2 lbs flank steak, sliced thin
1 c flat beer
1/2 onion, chopped
2 T fresh parsley
2 T horseradish
2 T dijon mustard
1 T worcestershire sauce
1 T soy sauce or tamari
1 T lemon juice
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp oregano
1 bay leaf
Combine all the marinade ingredients; marinate flank steak in refrigerator for 6 hours, turning once. Grill for 10 minutes over hot coals, turning once. This was Grandma and Grandpa Herzog’s recipe. I remember having this during the summer on the picnic table!
Gluten restrictions: Use gluten- free sorghum beer for the beer. Use homemade worcestershire sauce, or Thai Kitchen fish sauce, in place of the worcestershire sauce. Use tamari in place of soy sauce.
