Additional studies: Ezekiel Index
YHVH delivers His people from lying lips by exposing the lies. Opening their eyes strips the falsehoods of all their influence and authority. When His people are in rebellion because they have been seduced by lies, rather than because they hate Him (the reason the wicked are in rebellion against Him), He pours His wrath on the falsehoods, not on His people. When He reveals the lies to be lies, His people are delivered. ♥
Psalm 127, Chiastic structure
Additional studies: Psalms, Book Five: Psalms 107-150 Index
YHVH builds the house. YHVH guards the city in which those houses live. YHVH rewards His beloved with a wife and children, arrows in his quiver.
1 Peter 1, Enduring trials
Additional studies: 1 & 2 Peter Index
When we are in the middle of a trial, the enemy whispers to us, “God won’t help you.” It’s a lie, but it can seem believable because we put God on a timetable of our own making, and expect Him to resolve everything by an appointment we have set in our calendar, which makes Him, not our God, but our errand boy. And sometimes, His longsuffering in acting is because He knows it is far better to have this false premise purged from our thinking than it is to do x y z by such and such a date.
