To me, it says, I cannot control what others in my nation do. I can only keep shining a light of witness and encourage repentance and obedience. But even if disaster were to befall us (and I do believe the spirit of repentance is sweeping the household of God), God is able to deliver all those who put their trust in Him. ♥
Psalm 139, Reverse Parallelism
Additional studies: Psalms, Book Five: Psalms 107-150 Index
YHVH my Creator has fearfully and wonderfully made me, and His works – which includes me – are marvelous. This statement is true. When the enemy comes with his lying lips and his accusations, NO! Arrest the falsehood before it finishes crossing the register of the mind and make it bow the knee to Messiah the Living Word.
1 John 1, On confessing sins
Additional studies: 1, 2, & 3 John Index
To confess a sin is to ‘acknowledge together with’ (from Latin). We take God’s definition of sin and righteousness, as revealed in the first five books of the Bible, the dictionary of the Bible, and acknowledge together with God that His definition is true, and we have committed a sin. Notice the reciprocity: if a man does something—confesses, then God does something—forgives.
