1b) Psa 119:123, My eyes fail from seeking Your salvation And Your righteous word;

2c) Psa 119:125, I am Your servant; Give me understanding, That I may know Your testimonies;
2b) Psa 119:126a, It is time for You to act, O Lord;
2a) Psa 119:126b-128, I regard Your law as right / They regard Your law as void:
1a) Psa 119:126b, For they have regarded Your law as void;
central axis) Psa 119:127, Therefore I love Your commandments More than gold, yes, than fine gold!
2a) Psa 119:128, Therefore all Your precepts concerning all things I consider to be right; I hate every false way. {p}
The A pair reveals that the oppressors oppress because they regard the Law of the Lord as void. It is His Law that says, Do not covet, do not steal, do not bear false witness, have regard for the strangers, widows, and orphans, love your neighbor, and other such commands.
When you hear people say today that they ignore the Law of the Lord because it is void – please realize that the Word of God teaches that the Law does not save a man, but its precepts, statutes, and commandments as just judgments that define righteous and wicked behavior and actions – both toward God and men – is not void.
The B pair reveals the wicked were working oppression, and the psalmist was waiting for the Lord to take action and put an end to it. The Lord does act – but there is always a time preceding the action, when the cries of His people go up, and patience is required. I for one am glad He does not act instantaneously, because I would have been dead in my sins long ago if so.
The C pair reveals the longing of the Lord’s servants for His statutes, commandments, and testimonies. In mercy He teaches them to us and increases our understanding of them so that we may do them.
