central axis) Psa 119:133a, Direct my steps by Your word;

2c) Psa 119:134, Redeem me from the oppression of man, That I may keep Your precepts;
2b) Psa 119:135, Make Your face shine upon Your servant, And teach me Your statutes;

A pair: My soul keeps Your testimonies / men do not keep Your law.
B pair: The entrance of Your words gives light. The Hebrew word is Strong’s H215, owr, aleph + vav + resh. It means, to be or become light, to shine. Make Your face shine upon Your servant: we find the same Hebrew word, owr, to be or become light, to shine. The sense is that light dawns on us as we open our hearts to allow the entrance of His words, just as His face shines light on us as He teaches us His statutes.
C pair: I long for Your commandments / may I keep Your precepts.
D pair: Be merciful to me / let no iniquity have dominion over me. There is more to our walk with God than merely forgiveness of sins already committed (mercy). As we receive mercy and grace, we also begin to walk in the power of His Spirit. Miracles are a part of that as service and outreach to others. But the power of the Spirit in our own lives, is in empowering us over sin – in other words, freeing us from the power of sin, so that iniquities no longer have dominion over us, but instead the Spirit of God, through His mercy. A thorough study of Romans and Galatians will confirm this.
