Deuteronomy 31, Obedience once saved

The central axis highlights that it is Joshua, not Moses, who will lead God’s people into the Promised Land. Joshua’s anglicized Hebrew name is literally “Yeshua.” This is a Torah Teaching Tool way of saying that it is Jesus who leads people into their promise—of salvation—and not obedience to Moses. However, let’s not miss Learning from the Narrative in Deu 31:10-13: After God’s people inherit their promise, they are to continue hearing the reading of the Law, that they may learn it, and remember to do all YHVH’s commandments. Obedience is not the means to enter the promise of salvation. But once we are in, we are not to forget YHVH’s commandments, or our obedience.
Isaiah 40, Two sides of the same coin

But, this is why the two concepts of Ruling Might and Gentle Leadership are in the same paragraph. We humans separate the concepts as opposites; God in teaching us His thoughts (Isa 55:8-9), are unifying them as two sides of the same coin. God, Elohiym means, after all, the Sovereign united with the Shepherd.
Psalm 81, Chiastic structure

The verbs for “shout” (vs.1) and “blow the trumpet” (vs. 3) are different verbs but interestingly similar in meaning. SHOUT is Strong’s H7321 רוע rua, literally, “to split the ears,” thus a joyful outcry. BLOW is Strong’s H8628 תקע taqa, “to strike, especially the hands together (as a clap), to blast a signal with a trumpet.” Both these verbs indicate a loud and sharp sound.
