For the holidays, I tried Alton Brown’s truffles (Broken link, active December 25, 2006) (excellent but a lot more work than I bargained for); Alton’s coq au vin (excellent and no down side at all; we are going to try this recipe with goose and venison next); and Paula Deen’s shrimp and artichoke salad (Broken link, active December 25, 2006) (I loved it, but not everyone did). I had to modify Alton’s coq au vin to make it gluten-free, and also Paula’s shrimp and artichoke salad. I will post my modifications as I want to keep those recipes.
