My mother was this way. She was a very wise woman. She taught me that if I want a friend, be a friend; it takes two to tango (the fight with my brother wasn’t really ALL his fault); ignore teasing instead of reacting to make it go away; if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all; treat others just they way you want to be treated yourself. The law or torah of kindness … how to succeed with others instead of fail. So simple … do nice things … say nice things … be kind … be respectful … show love. The Torah is in fact the reference book of how to show love to God and and neighbors. Thank you, Mom. One day I will wish you Happy Mother’s Day in person again. ♥
