“These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you.” 1 Joh 2:26
Throughout the chapter, John makes comparisons of those who say one thing but do another, so his audience will know what is true and what is a lie; so that those who are lying will not be able to deceive the children of God.
The one who knows Christ, will keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” but does not keep His commandments, is lying.
The one who is of the light, will love his brother. He who hates his brother is of the darkness.
He who loves the Father, will not love the world. They are at polar opposites.
He who acknowledges the Son, will have the Father also; but he who denies Yeshua as Messiah, is antichrist (John’s words, not mine).
He who is born of Him practices righteousness, as He is righteousness. Do not be deceived!
