I have chosen a name for my little corner of the Internet: “A Little Perspective.” I hope this can be a place to gain some perspective on current events, education, and real life (the real life of homeschooling, child rearing, home making, and living day to day for Jesus Christ), through Scripture, history, and the great thoughts of Western Civilization. I know blogging has already helped me with my perspective.
Richard Mitchell wrote in his introduction to The Gift of Fire:
“I have never yet written anything, long or short, that did not surprise me. That is, for me at least, the greatest worth of writing, which is only incidentally a way of telling others what you think. Its first use is for the making of what you think, for the discovery of understanding, an act that happens only in language.”
To which I can heartily say: amen. Here is to the making of what we think, in our little corner of the Internet.
The painting is Looking Down Yosemite Valley by Albert Bierstadt. He has to be my favorite landscape artist, and that dawning light is exactly what I think of when I think of increasing in the knowledge of the Lord’s ways and the discovery of understanding that accompanies it.

Thanks for asking, 3foldcord; Jodi from Homegrown Hearts posted a solution in the forums in response to my question, and it worked just fine for me. I discovered you came up with the same solution … great minds and all. 🙂
