My daughter was telling me the other day about Zane beginning to
fight his nighttime bath routine. He is going on two, and he is in that
stage of testing all the boundaries to see where they are, LOL.
Fighting bathtime is new for Zane, because he has absolutely *loved*
his baths. In fact, if his Mom tried to get him out too early, that is
when he would get upset, LOL.
The Lord brought Zane and his
bathtime to mind this morning. You see, I was having trouble with my
relationship with the Lord this morning. The Lord didn’t go anywhere.
But sin had made a separation between me and my God. Like Adam, I
prefer to hide when dirty. I get embarrassed about needing a bath.
The
Lord simply said to me, “Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive
the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.”
Zane,
like a child, has had little notion of being dirty. But when his mother
said, “Bathtime!” he joyfully ran to the tub. Oh, let me so joyfully
run to my Father to get the daily grime of this world washed clean from
me in the blood of Jesus.
