Finding Messiah in Triennial Ki Y’daber
Note the central axis of the chiastic structure, the sentence fragment:
And seven days were fulfilled … Exo 7:25a
Why out of all that could be the central axis and the main point of the passage, is this the central axis? Seven days is a full week, and the seventh of those days is a day of rest from the labor we inherited as a result of sin, making Sabbath rest the first teacher of the Gospel of grace in Torah. It’s a length of time representing a complete whole, in which there were no plagues or judgments.
The central axis highlights the fact that God is providing a fulfillment of time, after one plague ends, and before the next begins, so that men can reflect on what has just transpired, meditate on its meaning, and come to repentance, and then salvation, as the miracles attest that the “kingdom of God is at hand.”
Now after John was put in prison, Yeshua came into Galilee, preaching the Gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe the Gospel.” Mar 1:14-15
Or do you despise the riches of His goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? Rom 2:4
