I am finishing up our vacatuon photos, and so I was thinking about vacations. We are blessed to live in a state with a lot to see and do as a family, so we don’t travel out of state much for vacations. For native Coloradoans looking for fun day trips with the family, or others who would like to take a vacation to Colorado, I can recommend:
John Fielder’s Best of Colorado. Colorado’s top nature photographer has spent decades traversing Colorado’s national parks, forests, backroads, and towns, and puts the spotlight on the best scenic spots, hiking trails, bed and breakfasts, hotels, restaurants, festivals, golfing, museums, tours, and more in this extensive guide book illustrated with the author’s award-winning photography. While I am out on those hiking trails, I take along my favorite plant identification guidebook, Meet the Natives by M. Walter Pesman. An easy to use classification system and clear descriptions with photos and illustrations helps me nail the right species every time.
