Matthew 7:3-5
ought to be my life’s motto, if I had one. Sometimes I am tempted to
gripe about my family. No one else has ever been there, right? 🙂 This
time it was one of my children. So I was telling the Lord, “I am so
exasperated! How many times do I have to repeat myself before ______
will learn? I sound like a broken record!” (I remember my Mom saying
that exact same thing when I was a child).
The Lord said to me, “I know exactly how you feel.”
::: gulp! :::
He
was talking about being my Father, and having to repeat Himself to me
numerous times before I will learn. Really takes the indignation out of
complaining about the kids, doesn’t it?
