The Lord has recently revealed to me, a root of a negative something in my heart, that I did not want there. You know, the salvation takes place in a moment in time, but the sanctification … that continues over the life time, and He will still be revealing roots to deal with, I am sure, until old age. LOL.
So this is the problem with roots, especially long- standing ones. They are deep and well- established. I was in a bit of a panic about it (silly me), because the depth and the enormity of the problem seemed insurmountable. Then I read Col 2:7. Do you have a root to uproot in your life? Don’t waste time trying to pull that thing out. Instead, let your roots go down deep into Christ, and build your life on Him. Then your faith will be strong in the truth, instead of in the scariness or greatness of the negative root. You will overflow with thankfulness instead of worry or panic. Thank You Father. I needed to hear that. ♥
