There were anti- Israel protests outside the Israeli consulate in New York City yesterday. Here is a picture of one man’s sign:
I was struck by this sign, because while I am sure that Allah would like to destroy Israel, I would not bet that it will happen.
There was a similar demonstration in Detroit a few nights ago. Detroit has a huge Arab population. I don’t know if any of the signs went to the level you showed here, but I know that the sentiments are strong in my community. I live next door to a Lebanese family. They lost 20 family members in a bomb attack last week. We have a strong relationship and I am hoping to be able to encourage them during this time. I support what Isreal is doing, it is so hard to watch this family suffer.
Lebanon is in a terrible position … Hezbollah is using the country as a base, but from what I have heard the Lebanese people nor the government want them in their country, they just can’t root them out by themselves.
