2 Kings 6, Rock-solid spiritual realities

We Learn from the Narrative that there are realities going on in the spiritual world that we cannot perceive with our natural eyes in this natural world. But that natural eyes do not perceive them, does not make them any less real. Elisha perceived them with spiritual eyes.
The takeaway is that circumstances perceived with natural eyes in the natural world may not tell the whole picture. Therefore, before we panic, step away, and seek God for spiritual eyes. The promises and truth of His word is rock solid no matter what circumstances seem to be yelling. No matter how great the armies are that are surrounding you; the armies of the living God surrounding them are far greater. So fear not!

This strength of YHVH in the 1A pair, which the central axis expounds upon in His majestic and awesome power, is the same strength which He employs for the sake of His people in the 2A pair; the exact same Hebrew word is used in both places. He successfully defends His people! I sleep peacefully at night in this knowledge. ♥

We have had several chapters where we saw how anointed by the Spirit the apostles were. Now we are seeing the deacons come into the same anointing, of wisdom, boldness, and working miracles with power. Why take care to bring this out? The point is to teach, I believe, that the Holy Spirit, and His gifts of wisdom, power, anointing, and miracles was not just for the apostles! The truth is, the work of the Church cannot go forward without new men constantly being raised up, who are filled with the Spirit, who can carry on in the same vein as the apostles. And that is what these next chapters in Acts are going to show us.
