I cannot get over the fact, that despite everything that Judah had done, God was just waiting, even now, for the opportunity to forgive them, and bring none of the disaster upon them of which He had warned them. Perhaps God is more gracious and generous than we have given Him credit for? May we likewise preach repentance and the great fathomless forgiveness and mercy of God! ♥
Psalm 113, Chiastic structure

The glory of YHVH is so high above the heavens, that He must humble Himself to behold the things that are in the heavens and the earth. And yet, He does, and then raises up the humble on high. The wonder of it is mind-blowing, thus praise His marvelous name from this time forth and forever more! ♥
Hebrews 7, The better hope of the better covenant
Additional studies: Hebrews Index
With Yeshua as our High Priest, we have a better hope, and are living in a better covenant. It is not that the “old” covenant has passed away–Paul taught us that a covenant enacted later cannot nullify a covenant which was ratified earlier (Gal 3:17). But that covenant, by providing Natural Pictures of tabernacle, sacrifices, congregation, and priesthood, prophetically foreshadowed the better covenant. In the better covenant, instead of the blood of bulls and goats offered daily to atone for sins, the blood of Messiah Yeshua was offered once for all (Heb 7:27). In the better covenant, instead of the Law of God written without us on tablets of stone, the Law is now written within us by the power of the Holy Spirit, on the tablets of our hearts (Heb 7:27). Obedience to the Law does not solve man’s fundamental problem of the sin nature, but the new birth in Messiah Yeshua does solve it, thus the better covenant and the better hope.
