1 c butter
1/2 c sugar
2 tsp water
2 tsp vanilla
2 c flour
1 c finely chopped pecans
Cream butter and sugar; add water and vanilla and mix well. Blend in flour and nuts. Wrap the dough in plastic and chill 4 hours. Shape in 1 inch balls, place on ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten the balls with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 325 for 20 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.
