1/2 c butter, soft
3 oz cream cheese, soft
1 c sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
2 c flour
Cream together butter, cream cheese, and sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in baking powder and cinnamon, then the flour, half at a time. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and chill several hours. Working with half the dough at a time, form dough into 1- inch balls and flatten with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar. (Or the dough can be rolled out and cut into shapes.) Bake at 375 for 8 minutes or until set. Makes 4 dozen.
