Presidential Thanksgiving proclamations

The title caught my eye: The political theology of Thanksgiving. How can you not love a title like that? It turned out to be an interesting essay on past presidential Thanksgiving proclamations. My favorites are George Washington’s; he is my favorite American president. His first is most famous; his second is also imbued with the spirit of humility toward God who has kept us and prospered us as a nation. For those who have not seen it yet, here is George W.
