The judgment which Israel received for forsaking God was not just a spiteful retalitory reaction: You forsook Me, so I will forsake you. No, No, No. But by the judgment (which they brought upon themselves for ignoring His commandments and esteeming Him lightly) they learned that He alone is God and beside Him there is no other. They learned that the idols they worshiped were powerless, no gods at all. They learned to return to YHVH God, for He alone is God. So the Scripture says:
“For YHVH will judge His people and have compassion on His servants …” Deu 32:36
Can it be that the compassion and atonement is the entire purpose of the judgment? I am thinking so …

The Hebrew Root Word parable for “to come” is of grasping (yud) the staff (lamed) in the palm (kaph). When someone went anywhere, he took his staff in his palm, to aid in walking. Come, then, is movement toward. (Nothing is said of arriving; but keep Him in your sights, and keep moving toward.)
But what about the one who has been caught up in iniquity? Surely the invitation is not for him? Yes, even for the one caught up in iniquity. When he does his two things, God responds to him by doing His two things. Let him 1) forsake wicked ways and thoughts, and 2) return to YHVH, and YHVH will 1) have compassion, and 2) abundantly pardon.

Wrath never comes without a cause of sin. Repent of sin, turn from it, and humble yourself before the mighty hand of God, trusting in the substitutionary death of Messiah Yeshua on the cross for the forgiveness of sins, and God will raise you up with His mighty hand instead. ♥
