Before I started homeschooling I read a book called NEA: Trojan Horse in American Education by Samuel L. Blumenfeld (The NEA is the National Education Association, a presumptuous name for the large teacher union). It really opened my eyes. I’d have to say that it was a stong influence on my decision to homeschool.
