We have finally updated the progress of The Story of the Ancient World on the Nothing New Press website. Let me apologize for taking so long to
post this update. The events of real life have modified our projections. Many of you know that my mother is dying of cancer. We have made a committment to keep her at home to the end, even though her health and daily care requirements are consistent with nursing home care. Hospice is now assisting us, since her doctors expect her battle to soon be over.
On Ancient World, we have finished to date integrating the chapters of Guerber’s text with the additional chapters to complete the history of the ancient world. We still need to complete:
1. Layout of the illustrations and maps in the text.
2. Build the index.
3. Proofread.
4. Send completed file to the printers!
When we are on the other side of my mother’s funeral, I will post another update to the Nothing New Press website, and also here, with a more reliable projected shipping date. Thank you so much for your patience.

My family enjoys the Guerber books very much. I had a question. Is the Bibliography in the back a list of your sources or does it also include Guerber’s sources. My daughter is reading the Oxford book of Ancient History and Plutarch along with H.G.’s books and there are quite a few historical discrepancies, especially in the Greek book. We don’t know which is more reliable. (Alcibiades, Pericles are just a few that come to my mind right now). My daughter is getting pretty frustrated. Any help would be appreciated.
