Deuteronomy 29 and 30, When the curse comes home to roost (Additional studies: Deuteronomy Index)
Are you seeing any of the curses come to pass in your life? One of the biggest that God’s people face today, is the children of God’s people who grow up and do not have circumcised hearts toward YHVH, to love Him, serve Him only, and obey Him with all their heart. They are taken by another people, and even though our eyes fail with longing for them, there is no power in our hands (Deu 28:32). This curse came to pass in our lives. I learned from this very passage (Deu 30:6), that the remedy for it is not more prayer, more fasting, more taking authority over the enemy, nor more standing on the Word of God in faith. All those things are good, and we did all of them, but none of them changed the root problem of our children needing circumcised hearts toward YHVH. What did change the root problem? The repentence and obedience of the parents brought about the return and circumcised hearts of the children.
