Yesterday was a day of prayer and thanksgiving in Lubbock, Texas. You see, Lubbock was experiencing a drought, so they set aside a day of prayer and fasting to ask God for rain. And boy howdy, did it rain. So, they set aside a second day of prayer and thanksgiving to thank the Lord for the rain He sent. Other Texas towns, seeing Lubbock blessed with such a singular answer to prayer, are following suit (see the Pray Lubbock site for more info). Wouldn’t it be wonderful if this great idea of acknowledging the Creator, and involving Him in the life of the town, caught on beyond Texas?
