Essential Studies.
Job 27 and 28, Outline of Job’s speech (Additional studies: Job Index)
Psalm 20, Hebrew root words (Additional studies: Psalms Book One (1-41) Index)
Matthew 14, Chiastic structure (Additional studies: Matthew Index)
The central axis of the structure doesn’t fall out as one might expect it to. We might expect that the focus would be on the miracle that proclaims Yeshua the Son of God with power, but no. The central axis is the simple command of Yeshua, that the disciples bring to Him a mere five loaves of bread, and two fish, to feed a multitude of over 5000 people. And that is the beauty of the Chiastic Structure Teaching Tool, in turning our attention off of the things on which a man might focus, and turning it on to the thing which the Spirit of God wants to highlight. And that is, that this walk Yeshua has called us to in following Him, does not depend on what we bring to the table. What we bring to the table will never be adequate for the job at hand. But, if we surrender whatever we have, as inadequate as it might be, to Him, then He is able to bless it, and multiply it, so that it is enough for the job at hand, and then some. Isn’t He wonderful?!
