ESSENTIAL STUDIES.
1 Chronicles 24 and 25, Prophetic worship
Additional studies: 1 and 2 Chronicles Index
Prophetic worship, prophesying in song during the worship service, is increasing in the churches in our days, for YHVH is restoring by His Spirit, His worship in Spirit and truth. Modern proponents got the idea for continual praise going up before YHVH, 24/7, with worshipers in teams taking shifts, from this practice and schedule that King David instituted. You know, the true things of the Spirit in our churches that we think are new, are in fact old, LOL. God was working His patterns of worship in Israel, long before the coming of Yeshua. He is the same, yesterday, today, and forever, and His Spirit is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Proverbs 24 and 25, Chiastic structures
Additional studies: Proverbs Index
We saw that the Chiastic Structure from Pro 22:1-29 reveals that the way in which a child is to be trained, is the way defined by the ancient landmarks, which we are not to move or remove. Of course, the pashat or direct meaning of the verse remains: do not encroach on the fatherless, for YHVH is their Redeemer. But a deeper meaning is present: when we remove the ancient landmarks, and do not train our children up in the way they mark out, then it is as if we make them fatherless, setting them adrift in the world without provision, protection, guidance, or love. And their Redeemer is mighty who will plead their cause against you!
Luke 6, A perfect disciple
Additional studies: Luke Index
Being a perfect disciple, as Yeshua taught, is not as much about a flawless or sinless life (for then we would not need Him), but about growing in righteousness, repentance when failing, as David, the man after God’s own heart, exemplified, and remaining whole-hearted in our devotion to God, steadfast and loyal.
