This applies to us personally, each one of us, because the place of YHVH’s name and His presence today is ourselves. We must guard our hearts with all diligence (mishmar, Pro 4:23). We must touch not the unclean thing, and keep ourselves unstained from the world (2 Cor 6:17-18, Jam 1:27). We must pay attention and closely observe those things which grieve the Holy Spirit, and defile the temples of our bodies, and prevent their access to our hearts at all times.

The people said of Jesus, that a great prophet had arisen among them. But Jesus said, that there was no greater prophet to have arisen, than John the Baptist. Was He saying He was a lesser prophet than John? No – He was saying He was greater than all the prophets: the Coming One, who fulfills the word of all the prophets who have come before Him.
I have heard theologians say that Jesus never claimed to be the Messiah of Israel. But I see His blatant claims to be the Messiah of Israel all over His words and deeds. ♥
