Well, the moving took longer than anticipated, LOL. Isn’t that always the way things go. We just finally finished getting the last of our things out of our old house today. So we have been between two houses this week. Now we can start unpacking at our new house.
We do not have Internet yet, which is why there has been no blogging. We were supposed to get it on Tuesday the 6th, but it won’t be till Tuesday the 12th after all. My dh and I are at one of those coffee shops with wireless Internet, checking our e-mail and blogging on our laptops, LOL.
I have my home office half way set up. My desk is at a window that looks out over the back of our property, facing east. I am a morning person, so it is really nice starting my day with my Bible, at my desk, watching the sun come up. The next property over is a horse ranch, and an apple tree and two walnut trees shade the back of the house, where my window is. When I finish getting my kitchen unpacked, I am making my Grandma’s apple pies. LOL.
One nice thing about this new house is there is room for a library. We are still in the process of putting up the bookshelves, but I have been able to unpack some of my books. So many of my books have been packed away in boxes for so long, that it has been like Christmas opening the boxes and being able to put the books out on shelves again.
So the chaos is chaotic, but temporary. It will be next week before we even have the dining room cleared of enough boxes to put up the dining room table and chairs. In the meantime, we have been eating take out, but I found my pots and pans today, so I am making lentil curry over rice next. Then my daughter requested chicken and dumplings, LOL.
The poor kitty has had the worst time of it, since she doesn’t understand what is going on. All I can say about moving, is thank the Lord for two strong sons. What would we have done without them.
The other strange thing is not knowing what is going on the world. The last thing I heard was that Steve Irwin had been killed. But it is soooo nice not having TV. Another ten days of no TV peace to look forward to! I hope to blog again this weekend; then as soon as we have Internet, it will be back to daily posts, and the Young Earth Old Earth and Revelation series will resume.
