ESSENTIAL STUDIES.
Jeremiah 25 and 26, A controversy with the nations
Additional studies: Jeremiah Index
It is His right as Creator and Owner to dispense with His creation as seems best to Him. And it is best for His creation that wickedness is destroyed, because wickedness hurts. Evil victimizes. Everyone who has ears to hear: if you do not desire destruction or the sword to come upon you, YHVH is able to preserve one life even in the midst of the destruction of a nation.
Psalm 113, Chiastic structure
Additional studies: Psalms Book Five: 107-150 Index
The glory of YHVH is so high above the heavens, that He must humble Himself even to behold the things that are in the heavens and the earth. And yet, He does, and then raises up the humble on high. The wonder of it is mind-blowing, thus praise His marvelous name from this time forth and forever more! ♥
Hebrews 6, Two immutable things
Additional studies: Hebrews Index
The first immutable thing, is that every word of God is true. He spoke a promise to Abraham, and that promise was as good as fulfilled, since it is impossible for God to lie. … The second immutable thing, is that God further confirmed His promise with an oath, in which He swore by Himself, since there is no one greater than Himself. … Now God, in making such an oath, did not do so for Himself, to keep Himself from breaking the oath. He is never tempted to break His word, and He needed no such encouragement. But He made the oath for our sakes, so that we would know just how sure a thing it is that His promise is as good as fulfilled.
