ESSENTIAL STUDIES.
Ezekiel 1 and 2, Chiastic structure
Additional studies: Ezekiel Index
Ezekiel saw a vision of the glory of YHVH (Eze 1:28). He saw the throne and the One who sits on the throne, who is the Creator and Ruler of heaven and earth. A little later in Ezekiel, the living creatures which he is seeing for the first time, are called cherubim (Eze 10). I have a theory, that cherubim appear in Scripture accompanying or guarding the place of the presence or glory of YHVH; where they appear, from Genesis to Revelation, the throne of God is close by.
Psalm 119:17-32, Chiastic Structure
Additional studies: Psalms Book Five: 107-150 Index
In the A pair, King David asks the Lord to deal bountifully with him, that is, to increase His goodness to him, that he may live and keep His word. Conversely, he will run in the way of the Lord’s commandments, because the Lord has enlarged or increased the capacity of his heart. The meaning is that from the core of his being, King David’s love, delight in, and understanding of the Law of the Lord increases, as the Lord increases His teaching to him, as King David increases his meditation of them, and King David’s experiences of the Lord’s deliverance in accordance with His promises increases to him.
Hebrews 10, Chiastic Structure

The Chiastic Structure Contrasts the Law of Moses with the Spirit of Grace (H pair). But are they opposites?
I don’t think so (then the H pair Compares them, not Contrasts them). The word of God, even expressed as commandments, is not in opposition to the Spirit. God is Spirit, and it is His word. “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks” (Mat 12:34) is a universal principle and is true of God too. The word He spoke, yes, even from the midst of fire on the summit of Sinai, came from the abundance of His heart. The Spirit, in other words, is the author of the Word, of the Law and of commandments, and it is the Spirit’s words that we have in all of Scripture (2 Tim 3:16).
