The structure ends with the Friday Bible study scripture. The rest of the week’s scriptures have been added to next week’s shabbat prophetic.
It was very interesting to me that in the A pairs, there was the repeated elements of believe and live, and trust and obey. How does belief and obedience pair? This reminds of Jesus’ words in the Sermon on the Mount, that no jot or tittle will by any means pass from the Law until all is fulfilled, and that He never knew those who practice Law-lessness, even though they say “Lord, Lord,” to Him (Mat 5:17-19, 7:21-23), and the repeated observation in Revelation, that those who are saints, are those who keep the faith of Jesus and obey His commandments (Rev 12:17, 14:12, 22:14).
Trust and obey,
for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
but to trust and obey.
My takeaway from this in my prayer journal:
The LORD is guiding all of us continually, so that all who the Father gives to Jesus will come to Jesus. When they come to Him, He will certainly not cast them out. He wants them to dwell with Him. For Jesus did not come into the world to condemn the world, but to save it, and He Himself purged our sins, that we may live. Now that we are alive in Him, we receive the instruction of His mouth, and obey His words, which are the same as His commands.
When we do this, when we believe Him, and receive Him, both His substitutionary death on the cross, and His words to obey them, He will satisfy our soul in drought, He will strengthen our bones, we will be like well-watered gardens, like springs of water whose waters fail not.
