My garlic mashed potatoes are hers. So is my chocolate cake. Cream of tomato soup. Asian rice noodle salad. Homemade ranch dressing. Jalapeno poppers. Buttered rosemary rolls. Homemade pizza dough and pizza sauce. Fig and balsamic pizza! What about my first successful pot roast of my entire life? All the Pioneer Woman. And even though my tiramisu (Sarah’s new favorite dessert) is mine, I made the Pioneer Woman’s first and adapted it to get to mine.Of course, Dave and I won’t be watching Throwdown with Bobby Flay, because we don’t have cable, but I think Steph and Aunt Kellie are Pioneer Woman fans, and they can watch it! She has a new cookbook coming out sometime, and also a novel based on her life with her rancher husband. She is definitely famous now!
Update: I forgot to mention that the movie rights to the Pioneer Woman’s book, which isn’t even out yet, have already been bought, and the word on the street in Hollywood is that Reese Witherspoon has been tapped to play the Pioneer Woman. So if you think she is famous now, just wait till the movie comes out! Also, I am calling Grandma today. They have cable, and get the Food Network, and I bet she will let us come over and watch the show with them tonight.
