ESSENTIAL STUDIES.
Joshua 5, Rolling away reproach
Additional studies: Joshua Index
The reproach of Egypt that YHVH rolled away from Joshua, and Israel, was that they had been slaves, and as such, were vagabonds and homeless ever since they had left their slavery in Egypt. Upon crossing the Jordan, they had entered into their permanent home, and were no longer wanderers. Upon entering their permanent home, YHVH asked them to be circumcised, because circumcision was the outward sign of their covenant with Him (Gen 17:10-11). Circumcision is a Natural Picture illustrating a spiritual reality, that when someone enters into a covenant with YHVH, their fleshliness, that is, their worldliness, is cut away from their hearts. They are walking in a different way now than all those around them.
Psalm 117, Reverse parallelism

The matching B pair reveals that mercy and truth are two sides of the same coin; sisters, in fact, and not opposites. The lie of the enemy is that God’s word, His commandments, God’s truth, and God’s righteousness are all on one side, suppressing God’s love, God’s mercy, and God’s grace which are all on the other side; but the reality is both mercy and truth are an expression of God’s goodness. God has in mercy revealed His truth to men, out of a heart of compassion, so that they can cease foolishness and live in such a way that will bless them and their families, and society, and not curse them! ♥
Mark 9, The Kingdom Coming with Power
Additional studies: Mark Index
And the glory of the Father, in the name of Messiah Yeshua, surrounds that Kingdom, that working, and that power, as in the structure. It envelops it. But what envelops the glory, is suffering many things. Why? Because people who think so highly of themselves that they rebuke Yeshua, or argue about who is greatest, cannot wield that kind of power without it ruining them or tarnishing the glory of the Father. When we walk in gentleness and lowliness of heart, as Yeshua walked, then I think we will see the power of the Spirit unleashed and the Kingdom of God mightily proclaimed among us.
