The Hebrew Root Word translated “to fail” (Strong’s H5307 נפל naphal) actually stems from the history of the Nephilim in Gen 6:1-4. To fail in anything is to fall to the ground: your effort or exertion does not succeed. That nothing failed of any good thing that YHVH had spoken to Israel – that it all came to pass – means that not a single word which He spoke fell to the ground unfilled. Nothing fell through the cracks. Every word came to pass. ♥
