The first part of the healing strategy I was to employ was to rid my body of accumulated toxins. The idea of needing to rid my body of accumulated toxins first appeared on my radar screen in 2005:

In 2006 I began this side of heaven blog, to document what I had been learning about natural healing, since I was having such good success. Detoxing was a frequent topic. The blog was deleted by the homestead blogger network … and alas, I did not have it saved. I am rebuilding what posts I can from it:
detoxifying menus 2006 mar 21
detox using food that God made 2006 (rebuilt 2014 feb 19)
seven days of detox breakfast ideas 2006 (rebuilt 2014 feb 20)
seven days of detox lunch ideas 2006 (rebult 2014 feb 27)
seven days of detox dinner ideas 2006 (rebuilt 2014 mar 05)

I detoxed yearly from that point, and stopped getting colds and flu in the winters. Then in 2008, we moved to Florida, and nearly all my previous disciplines were lost in the chaos. I began to feel the lack of it … thus in the spring of 2010 documented my first detox since our move:
detox diet: day one 2010 feb 25
detox diet: day two 2010 feb 26
detox diet: day three 201o feb 27
detox diet: day four 2o10 feb 28
detox diet: day five 2010 mar 01
detox diet: day six 2010 mar 02
detox diet: day seven 2010 mar 03
detox diet: day eight – fast day! 2010 mar 04
detox diet: day nine 2010 mar 05
detox diet: day ten 2010 mar 06
detox diet: day eleven 2010 mar 07
I still struggled to maintain what I had built into my life prior to Florida. My first years here were a difficult adjustment for me. Then in 2011 we moved again, to an unfinished house. My husband works weekends on it, but it is a long row to hoe, and he is still in the middle of it. My things, my books, my office remained packed in storage, and I admit I had a struggle with hopelessness. Missing my family, missing my grandchildren, and not being able to unpack and settle my life and my daily routine weighed on me. I let go my healthy diet and habits for lack of caring … and then in the spring of 2013 I discovered the breast cancer. In a way it was a blessing in disguise … it helped shake me up a little bit and get me out of my Florida funk. I began to rebuild my health … and here we are. ♥

Thank you for sharing your healing journey. Tomorrow, I will be going with a friend for her last chemo treatment for breast cancer. She also incorporated juicing along with other natural measures. Please pray for her journey.
Thank you,,
