Do not miss the promise of the central axis. When the parents return to YHVH God with all their heart and with all their soul, characterized by paying heed—hearing, and obeying (Strong’s H8085, שמע shama, “to hear, to listen and attend, to hear and answer, to obey or give heed,”)—to all His commandments, to do them, then YHVH circumcises the childrens’ hearts to Him. Any parents praying for prodigals: this promise is for you.

It’s a chapter of joy and rejoicing for those who belong to the King who reigns on Mt. Zion, and a chapter of mourning and woe for those who belong to the earth or to the world. This chapter shares many similarities with Revelation, as we will see when we get to Revelation next year.

Make a joyful shout, all the earth – make His praise glorious!. Making a joyful shout is the same root (Strong’s H7321 רוע rua, a primitive root meaning, “to shout,” literally, “to split the ears,”) forming the feast day of trumpet-blowing, which is arriving soon.
