The moon’s placement in the sky on the evening of September 12 means there is a high probability it will be sighted; however the 12th is the 29th day of the 6th month. If weather conditions interfere it could potentially not be sighted, moving the new moon date to Sunday the 13th. We won’t know until we see which it is. For now, the 12th remains the projected date.
