The seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, worship the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Their seed are spiritual seed as well as biological seed. And there are those who are biological seed, who are only named by the house of Jacob, but who are not the seed of Jacob in truth. Therefore, “Against this family I am devising disaster.” Which family? Not the true family of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, but the family of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, so-called, who do not worship YHVH or walk in His ways.
Psalm 58, The righteous who repent and return
Additional studies: Psalms Book Two: 42-72 Index
But as the righteous open their ears, as they heed the call which has gone out to all Israel: HEAR, O Israel (Deu 6:4), a heart transplant occurs, by the power of the Holy Spirit. God exchanges our heart of stone for a heart of flesh, upon which He has engraved His Torah (Eze 26:26-27). It becomes the nature of the righteous to seek after God, to love Him, and to walk in His ways. The righteous are not perfect, they make mistakes and sin. Even David, the man after God’s own heart, sinned grievously. But the righteous always repent and return, that is their defining characteristic. When the Lord utters His voice, they HEAR Him.

Think about this for a moment. A man who has been faithful to one imperfect woman with patience and grace, has displayed a proven character quality of faithfulness, loyalty, gentleness, patience and grace, which God desires His shepherds to have for His flock. There are many lost sheep today who have been hurt by the callousness or hardness or pride of people in authority in the church. You cannot remain the husband of one wife, if your character qualities are callousness, hardness, or pride. Either you will leave her, or she will leave you. Beloved, if the church refused to appoint people in authority, except for those who displayed the qualifications in 1 Tim 3, we might have less lost and wounded sheep wandering around without a shepherd.
