The Chiastic structure:
This Messianic prophecy was fulfilled when they abused Yeshua during His trial (Mat 26:67-68, 27:27-31, . He was humiliated before the world, but then gloriously vindicated, justified before the world when He was raised from the dead. And when He returns, His awesome glory will be so great, that even the mountains will melt like wax at the presence of Lord.
To (not) be put to shame is Strong’s H954 בוש buwsh, “to be shamed, confounded.”
bet ב = house (house, household, family, in, within)
vav ו = tent peg (add, secure, hook)
shin ש = two front teeth (sharp, press, eat, two, again)
Shin often has the meaning of a blowing wind, as the sound air makes when expelled through the teeth is the sound of a blowing wind. Thus the verb literally means “to wither,” or “to dry up,” because when moisture is removed from the earth, as it is when the wind blows over the land, plants wither and dry up. As they do so, they shrink. The concrete object is “genitals,” because genitals shrink when the blood is drained from them. The abstract concept is “shame,” as when the blood drains from the face and we become pale.
The parable comes from its first use in Scripture:
And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed. Gen 2:25
The first family (bet) were secure (vav) together (shin, in the sense of both the man and his wife, two). The parable is actually telling the story of the negative spin on the root, that is, to not be ashamed. The positive spin on this root, is to be ashamed, or not secure.
To be justified is Strong’s H6663 צדק tsadaq, “to be just, to be righteous.”
tsadey צ ץ = trail (a man concealed, journey, chase, hunt)
dalet ד = door (enter, move, hang)
quph ק = sun on the horizon (condense, circle, time)
The Hebrew Root Word parable is of the path (tsadey) that is straight, as when a hung door (dalet) is measured against the plumb line, in perpetuity (quph), as the setting sun is the biblical symbol of the seventh day Sabbath marking the close of the week, and thus the endless cycle of time and completion of time. The idea is a straight way of walking out life which applies across all cultures and all times, rather than what a culture considers an ethical custom, but which only applies to a narrow place or time.
