TO LIFT UP. Strong’s H5375 נשא nasa, “to take up, to lift up, to pardon.” The story: To persistently (continually, nun) grab hold (sin) with strength (aleph), thus labor, to take up or lift up a burden.
The idolaters lifted up their burdens to their idols on the high places; the redeemed lift up their burdens to YHVH our God.

HELP. Strong’s H5828, ezer, a concrete noun meaning, “one who helps, a helper;” from Strong’s H5826 עזר azar, “to help.” The story: To watch over (ayin) for what is necessary (zayin, as a tool is used to accomplish a needed end) for the man (resh).

3 He will not allow your foot to be moved. Psa 121:3a
TO (NOT) ALLOW. Strong’s H5414 נתן nathan, “to give, put, or set.” The story: Giving (nun, the seed) is marked by (tav), that is, like, planting a seed (nun). The sense here is in not giving place or permission.

4 Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade at your right hand.
6 The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.

TO KEEP, TO PRESERVE. Strong’s H8104 שמר shamar, “to keep, to watch, to guard as a husbandman or shepherd.” The story: To closely guard (sin) for the next generation (nun) that which is of first importance (resh).
