In Egypt, where Israel came from, and in Canaan, where Israel was going, they celebrated feast days to their gods. In fact, we still have many of these same feast days on our national calendars – still, after thousands of years! YHVH’s feast days, however, are not like the feast days of the idols. His feast days (or “holy days,” i.e., holidays) have been established by Him from the foundation of the world. For in Gen 1:14, God tells us that He created lights in the firmament of the heavens to “be for signs and seasons (moed), and for days and years;”—to mark (the meaning of “sign” in Hebrew) YHVH’s appointed times (moed). Moreover, each of His feasts prophesy of Messiah Yeshua in amazing ways.

Have giants lodged in your inheritance? Do you have a promise from YHVH, that “Canaanites” are determined to keep from you? I am reminded that giants remained in mine. God did not twang the Canaanites with His fairy godmother wand and make them all disappear before the children of Israel, as much as He wanted them gone; nor is He going to twang my giants, and make them disappear. I am going to have to go up, strong and courageous because YHVH is with me, and not fear to possess my possession, but take it, using my two edged sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, and my shield of faith, and make those giants leave my inheritance. And so are you.

If YHVH shall preserve us from all evil, then why do bad things happen? Did the Word of God lie? No, because the evil we face is a temporary factor in our lives, and not our final outcome. He preserves us through it, so that its ultimate designs are not realized. ♥
