ESSENTIAL STUDIES.
Numbers 28, The offerings made by fire
Additional studies: Numbers Index
Today the Hebrew Root Words tool lights up Num 28:3. The offering made by fire, and the burnt offering. … That fire initiates a burning of worship, which goes up as a sweet aroma in YHVH’s nose; a continual burning that does not consume. And just like the burning bush, those around us notice, and ask, “What is different about that person?” Our everyday life becomes a platform of witness for God and His glory, without any extra effort on our part!
1 Kings 7 and 8, Two dedications
Additional studies: 1 and 2 Kings Index
Solomon’s prayer, at the dedication of the Temple, for YHVH to remember His people, and for the people to keep their hearts inclined to YHVH and His ways forever, was prophetic. Solomon was a type of Messiah, and Yeshua prayed a similar prayer when He dedicated His Temple, which is His Body; i.e., His physical body, and the corporate body of all the believers, before His death. Yeshua’s prayer is found in Joh 17.
Psalm 3, When YHVH is for me
Additional studies: Psalms Book One: 1-41 Index
It doesn’t matter how many are against us, when YHVH is for us.
No matter how many are arrayed against me, I don’t have to lift up myself against them, YHVH will lift up my head. I do not have to strike anyone’s cheekbones or break anyone’s teeth, in my own defense. If any striking or breaking needs to be done, I can trust YHVH to take care of it.
