Read Psalm 22 at Bible Gateway.
What is most well- known of this psalm, is that it is Messianic. All of vs. 6-18 describe prophetically the suffering of Yeshua on the cross.
And the result of Yeshua’s death on the cross, and His resurrection, is that
All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations shall worship before You. Psa 22:27
The reference is to all the families of the nations who rebelled from the worship of YHVH at the Tower of Babel.
But what struck me about this passage today, is the depth of the affliction that Yeshua endured – greater than the affliction of any man before or since. It appeared that YHVH was far from helping Him – and yet,
You have answered me. Psa 22:21
For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted;
Nor has He hidden His face from him,
But when he cried to Him, He heard. Psa 22:24
Even if we face death for the sake of His name, we have not been forsaken by God – God raised Yeshua up and will raise us up also! Our life is not over, we shall eat and be satisfied, and shall live to praise the LORD!

I have been enjoying and appreciating the studies this year. You present the bible as a study tool in a refreshing way for me. Thank you for your efforts.
I wanted to let you know that this day’s post has a link that is incorrect. The link to “A physician describes the death of Jesus by crucifixion,” has apparently been changed. Hopefully you’re able to find it and correct it, as I’m sure it is an enlightened read.
May The Father continue to bless you in your efforts to bring light to a darkened world!
